ARM edge ISOs gain a nightly installation pipeline

emirb opened and merged omacom/omarchy-iso#282 into quattro on October 16. It adds an aarch64 edge nightly lane that builds an ISO, installs it unattended, boots the installation twice and repeats installation as an N1x before allowing publication.

The pipeline publishes an ISO, checksum and package and kernel metadata. ARM VM images remain unsupported by this workflow. This is development-branch infrastructure for edge builds, rather than a stable release announcement.

Installer preserves other installations' Limine boot entries

birkskyum approved and merged jdvmi00's omacom/omarchy-iso#192 into quattro on October 16. Cleanup now matches a boot entry's label, partition and loader together, preventing a shared Limine label from selecting another installation's boot option for deletion. Cleanup failures are logged instead of aborting installation.

github-actions[bot] reported passing installation tests on both x86_64 and aarch64. The change has merged into the development branch; the supplied evidence does not establish a stable release containing it.

Spark idle-reset proposal keeps the shared ARM kernel direction

jdvmi00 opened omacom/omarchy-pkgs#1191 on October 16 to prevent NVIDIA DGX Spark idle resets. Its current description attributes the resets to a firmware DVFSRC flag write and proposes skipping that write on exact Spark hardware matches. That description was updated through October 19 and reports the scoped hardware test as pending.

birkskyum questioned the narrow match, pointing out that other GB10 desktops could still receive the write. In the related kernel discussion, ryanrhughes specified one linux-omarchy kernel for all aarch64 systems, and jdvmi00 agreed to continue investigating within that direction. The reset fix remains an open proposal, with broader GB10 and N1x behavior unverified in its current description.

Each monitor gets its own numbered workspaces

ryanrhughes opened omacom/omarchy#15655 on October 16 and merged it into quattro on October 18, outside the coverage day. Its current description gives each monitor workspaces numbered 1 through 10 locally, so number shortcuts act on the focused monitor and each bar shows that monitor's workspaces.

The current design retains monitor assignments across reconnection and merges workspaces onto another screen during unplugging, restoring their old numbers when the monitor returns. It also documents that saved workspace layouts do not follow renumbering. These details come from the subsequently updated description; the merge establishes development-branch availability, rather than a stable release.

Independent display scaling advances through review

timothygwright proposed a monitor selector above the Display panel's scale presets in omacom/omarchy#15665. The October 16 proposal also lets the scaling command target a named output and saves focused-monitor hotkey changes per output when multiple displays are active. It remains open.

After review, timothygwright reported fixes for keyboard selection of later displays, persistence after unplugging a monitor and preservation of rotation fields in semicolon-separated settings. greptile-apps[bot] subsequently reported all three findings fixed. The author also reported checking the panel on two physical displays; that is contributor-reported validation.

AI Edit and Lock Screen Explorer publish reviewed security corrections

AI Edit's omacom/omarchy-plugin-marketplace#11847 completed publication on October 16 after HANCORE-linux identified clipboard reads that could stall or exhaust the shared shell. paulmiddelkoop replaced native paste with a separate reader capped at 4 MiB and two seconds. A subsequent finding concerned Codex tool access that could upload local images beyond the selected text; paulmiddelkoop reported disabling that access, and HANCORE-linux confirmed both corrections before github-actions[bot] announced publication.

Lock Screen Explorer's omacom/omarchy-plugin-marketplace#10783 also completed publication. HANCORE-linux identified an optional boot-rotation helper that could extend splash-update permission into root code execution. SirJul1337's update added an administrator prompt to remove an installed helper during upgrade. HANCORE-linux then confirmed the removal flow, sealed boot themes and earlier clipboard and permission corrections, and approved the update.

github-actions[bot] described AI Edit's publication verification as automated and Lock Screen Explorer's as maintainer-reviewed. Both notices limit verification to the exact marketplace snapshot and explicitly distinguish it from a security audit.

VPN DNS proposal gains a worker reproduction and a narrower compatibility question

Alumniminium's open omacom/omarchy#14350 replaces NetworkManager's global DNS override with provider settings on Wi-Fi and Ethernet profiles plus a dispatcher hook. The intended result is to retain the chosen public DNS provider while allowing VPN connections to supply resolvers for private names.

On October 16, Alumniminium agreed to update an existing test. Later, omarchybot reported a worker reproduction: private WireGuard names failed with quattro's implementation and resolved with the proposal, while Ethernet retained Cloudflare DNS. The bot also reported correcting handling of address families whose NetworkManager methods reject DNS settings.

The proposal still awaits a maintainer decision about bridge, bond and VLAN uplinks, which the reported implementation leaves on their DHCP DNS, and coordination with overlapping changes. omarchybot reported passing focused tests alongside failures in the broader shell suite, so the evidence supports targeted progress rather than an entirely passing suite.

Lock-screen crash investigation reproduces rapid output removal

MarlonAzevedo added an October 16 report to omacom/omarchy#9156 describing an AMD laptop whose shell crashed after a monitor and USB hub were connected while locked. The recovered lock reported secure status but remained black, requiring a hard reset.

omarchybot then reported reproducing a protocol-error crash on newer packages by creating and immediately removing a headless output while locked. Its trace implicated a lock-surface request racing output removal. The bot attributed that crash to Hyprland, while explicitly leaving the subsequent black-screen behavior unexplained.

The issue remains open. The bot reported no contained Omarchy fix from that investigation and left avoiding display power-off or retaining a headless output as design choices for a maintainer.

Eyes proposes local screen descriptions with privacy checks under review

Chessing234 opened omacom/omarchy#15660 on October 16. Its current description proposes Eyes, an invoked screen-capture command that asks a local vision model to describe a screen, answer a question or locate an object without clicking it. The description was updated after coverage and reports testing with stand-ins rather than a real model end to end.

In October 16 review comments, greptile-apps[bot] identified a gap between the password-manager focus check and capture, plus temporary screenshots surviving cancellation. Those are review findings at the examined revision, rather than independent proof of the current implementation's behavior. The proposal remains open.

Super plus Shift plus S becomes a screenshot shortcut

The quattro commit omacom/omarchy@51bfd1dbaa1b adds Super plus Shift plus S for screenshots and moves Google Maps to Super plus Shift plus Alt plus S. TripleU613 is a listed participant; the commit's author name is attributed as TripleU.

The commit history records dropping a proposed migration that would rewrite personal bindings, because package updates replace the default binding files. This is a committed development-branch change, rather than evidence of a stable release.

Aurora kernel enables booting in QEMU's virt machine

omacom/omarchy-pkgs@1cc8d4436ab3 committed generic PCIe host and PL011 console support to master. The change enables the Aurora kernel to see virtual disks and networking and provide a console in QEMU's virt machine, including UTM's configuration on Apple Silicon.

malik-na is a listed participant, and the commit's author name is attributed as Naeem Malik. The package revision rises to 12 with the source pin unchanged; the commit description states that the added drivers bind to device-tree nodes absent from Apple's hardware descriptions.
