Agents panel expands to 23 collectors

dhh merged omacom/omarchy#14040 into the quattro development branch, expanding the agents panel from six collectors to 23 and adding nine default-agent launchers. Shared rules assign tokens to the billing provider once, preserve usable limits through failed checks and distinguish authentication problems from unavailable usage data.

The consolidation includes community contributions and reported fixes from review and fuzzing. Its validation has limits: signed-in service responses for limits, plans and balances were not checked against real accounts, and launcher installation was tested on x86_64 only.

Agent sign-in and API key entry proposed for the panel

dhh opened omacom/omarchy#16520 to extend the agents panel's add screen beyond Claude Code, Codex and Grok. The open proposal offers nine subscription sign-ins and nine providers accepting pasted API keys, reducing the need to configure supported providers elsewhere.

The proposed key flow passes credentials through standard input, saves them with restricted permissions and restores the previous configuration if a provider rejects a key. The submission reports sandbox and interface checks, but no completed sign-in or key validation against a real service.

Notifications gain action buttons and keyboard navigation

dhh merged omacom/omarchy#16466 and omacom/omarchy#16471 into quattro. Omarchy notifications can carry up to three action buttons, and Super + Ctrl + comma explicitly gives the notification deck keyboard focus. Number keys invoke buttons, Enter opens a card and Delete dismisses it; silencing moves to Super + Ctrl + Alt + comma.

During review, dhh reported fixes that release keyboard focus before mouse actions open another app and restrict navigation to cards that fit on screen. The related quattro commit omacom/omarchy@5bd0b6458bda adds Open and Omacut buttons, a thumbnail, duration and file size to saved screen-recording notifications.

Panels morph between positions and grow with arriving content

dhh merged omacom/omarchy#16470 and omacom/omarchy#16469 into quattro. Panels grow from their bar icons, close faster than they open and morph between cards within the same bar section. Notifications gain eased arrivals and departures while keyboard dismissals remain immediate.

The follow-up commit omacom/omarchy@59d6f7f1f09c animates height changes when Wi-Fi scans or Bluetooth discovery populate an open panel. Another quattro commit, omacom/omarchy@6ddadd450308, adds a check against animation durations that bypass the shared setting, helping keep motion disabled when users turn animations off.

Installer asks for language first and translates supported console scripts

dhh merged omarchybot's omacom/omarchy-iso#297 into quattro. The installer now starts with a language picker, provides translations for 35 languages alongside English and passes the selected language to the installed system. Keyboard defaults follow the language, with a capital-city timezone fallback where applicable.

Console font limits still matter: languages such as Japanese, Arabic and Vietnamese can be selected for the installed desktop, but their installation screens remain English. Subsequent quattro commits omacom/omarchy@4fa93e9f4c4f and omacom/omarchy-iso@31a65f89511a let the shared setup form read translations directly from Omarchy's catalogs, replacing the installer's English-text substitution wrapper.

Git identity moves from installation to first login

dhh merged omarchybot's omacom/omarchy#16288 into quattro, moving Git name and email questions to a Setup Git notification after first login. The setup command also offers GitHub sign-in, and an existing complete Git identity suppresses the notification.

The corresponding ISO change is committed on quattro as omacom/omarchy-iso@2390bbb0fe33. It removes Git identity fields from installation and unattended-install inputs; scripted setups instead set identity after installation through the new command.

Mac package commits restore boot-menu control and protect internal displays

maralcbr participates in package commits attributed to Marcelo Alcantara on omarchy-pkgs' master branch. omacom/omarchy-pkgs@ccde0079f8b7 enables runtime EFI variable writes, while omacom/omarchy-pkgs@4323333a6dfb saves those variables at shutdown so boot-menu requests and boot configuration changes reach the next boot.

omacom/omarchy-pkgs@0aac17f135ec makes T8122 external-display firmware reservation opt-in after an M3 Air internal-display failure, leaving external displays disabled by default there. Separately, omacom/omarchy-pkgs@fccc4321b01e updates the Mac package configuration so mpv can use software rendering when no GPU driver is available. These are committed package changes, rather than evidence of a stable Omarchy release.

Multi-user proposal develops administrator and limited-account safeguards

osbase77's omacom/omarchy#16100 remains open. It proposes separate administrator and limited accounts, a shared disk-unlock password distinct from personal login passwords, and disabled automatic login when several accounts exist.

In omacom/omarchy#16100:issuecomment-6386646585, lbssousa recommended gating limited-user migrations on an administrator's completed run and raised disk-password retention and single-owner biometric limitations. osbase77 replied that migration gating had been added, retained manual disk-password rotation and deferred per-user biometrics to separate work.

greptile-apps[bot] subsequently flagged a transition risk in omacom/omarchy#16100:discussion_r4368099902: the update introducing a machine-wide lock could overlap an updater still holding the old per-user lock. This is a review concern on an open proposal, not a shipped multi-user capability.

Ghostty backport targets crashes under terminal reply bursts

eesoymilk opened omacom/omarchy-pkgs#1554 to backport an upstream write-request pool fix to Ghostty 1.3.1. The proposal targets crashes when programs read terminal replies slowly, including a palette-query burst associated with herdr startup; a crash in single-instance mode can close every Ghostty window.

The proposal retains Omarchy's epoll setting and addresses the pool rather than changing the event backend. eesoymilk reports no crashes or stalled replies in 40 patched workload runs, compared with seven crashes in 40 runs of the current package. Those are author-reported results, and the backport remains open.

Installer avoids offline tool lookups and proposes earlier encryption calibration

emirb's quattro commit omacom/omarchy-iso@0f8ce0313613 runs mise reshim offline, avoiding network timeouts while preparing tools that install lazily on first use. The commit, attributed to Emir Beganovic, reports a full-disk test installation falling from 65 seconds to 25 seconds.

A separate open proposal from emirb, omacom/omarchy-iso#324, moves Argon2id calibration into live boot while the wizard is open and reuses its result during encrypted formatting. It retains normal calibration for missing or invalid results and machines with less than 4 GiB usable RAM. The reported formatting reduction from 8.07 to 1.97 seconds is the proposer's measurement.

Fingerprint setup gains platform consent hooks and device-side cleanup

scottjones participates in two quattro commits attributed to Scott Jones that change fingerprint setup and removal. omacom/omarchy@75d2206e0860 adds optional platform hooks so Apple Silicon Touch ID can request the owner's agreement before enabling its reader; refusal or failure stops enrollment.

The prerequisite omacom/omarchy@0d8edf3812e0 deletes a match-on-chip reader's stored fingerprints before removing local records, while fprintd can still locate them. Removal reports device deletion failures and continues. These are development-branch commits.
